The net user * command allows you to reset the password, domain, and times it can be entered before a complete lock down I guess the other command Mark [email protected] had no such batch or directory. You are not supposed to ask questions, just smile & thank him for being a genius.

I would have to double check, but I believe password resets are at my shop as well.

Thanx for the kon-boot suggestion #2..I understand why he wouldnt want tell me being a repair guy myself however he was overly rude about me asking "if you were smart enough to do my job you wouldn't have brought it here to fix" was the statement that stuck out most. These pricks treat people like garbage simply because they were trained to use a cd to click a button.

My offense to it was just that all he did was pop in a disk and make some clicks through a wizard...

So since I saw the MRI logo I came home and Googled it.

Apparently geek squad has a deal with Microsoft to use thier coding signature for of one click fixes.

There is a website that will unlock any pc for 10 bucks but I don't recommend it they want remote access to it.

This offended me I paid 30 bucks for something my 4 year old step son could have done (givin that he had the disk).

Shamefully I reverted back to my pirate ways and looked for an ISO of the MRI disk just to be stopped at the door with a warning that geek squad has "water stamped" the foundation of the program to phone home when used on any unauthorized pc. is: Did I waste my $ is there a way I could have unlocked the pc?

Well her OS is vista ultimate 64bit I have a windows 7 professional disk and all I'd need is to buy a registry key but my fiance won't let me update her desktop.
